Polished Concrete Candle Tutorial
Step 1: Place 450gm of Paraffin Pellets in a Heirloom Body Care Log Mould with silicone insert. Ensure to break any lumps and arrange evenly.
Step 2: Melt 450gm of Paraffin with 2% Vybar Sub over a saucepan with low heat.
Step 3: Add colour to saucepan to the required shade however keep in mind that the white pellets will lighten the colour.
Step 4: Once fully melted allow mixture to cool to 72oC and add up to 10% of your chosen fragrance.
Step 5: Mix thoroughly and then pour carefully and evenly over the pellets in the mould and allow to set.
Note: Whilst the mixture is cooling any trapped air may be released causing bubbling. This may create an uneven base once cooled which you can use a heat gun to smooth out any troublesome areas.
Step 6: Once completely set you can unmould.
Step 7: Choose where you wish your wicks to be and drill the holes for easy insertion. Dependent on your chosen wick you can either used tabbed wicks and simply place them in or non-tabbed wicks and once in gently melt the base so the wax holds the wick in.
Note: If using an alternative mould ensure it is compatible with the temperatures required including any necessary heat gun usage. Wick recommendations are set for our Heirloom Body Care Log Mould.
